I'm so happy! I just took first place in the Kenton County Fair's Creative Writing Contest for my division (Fiction, 18-59 year-olds)! Yay!

I took one of the characters from my first book (Ian Trainer) and told a story from his background. I must admit that it was hard for me to write only 1500 words; my first draft wound up over 3700. Thanks to Brenda Clark, the liaison for the writers' group at my public library, for telling me about the event!
